It is one of the reasons I loved the audiobook so much. The dialogue and the banter and the dialogue was amazing. And while the chemistry in the bedroom was just as great, the emotional connection sealed the deal for me. Does this story shake the romantic world? It is fun and pure romance. It is entertaining and endearing and sexy. It was an escape, and I have found that I have grown to love this small community even more with Getting Played. I hope Emma Chase has plans to stay in this world for a long time.
After the death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the drama. But the more we grow in popularity, the more people compare me to him. And I never will be. If only everyone could figure that out for themselves. Then, a confrontation has me jumping in my car, putting LA in my rearview mirror. And a stupid mistake ends up with my car on the side of the road.
And straight into the path of a girl who is the exact opposite of everyone else in my life. Just a regular guy. Nine is a very different book to the one I was expecting, given the history of this series. Given the life he leads on the wrong side of the law, Kevin aka Nine is no stranger to the need for violence on occasion.
He has a big heart and what surprised me was that he is, dare I say, rather sweet and caring, especially when it comes to Lenny. A young man, who as a child was brutalised by people who were supposed to be caring for him but as an adult is just desperate for a home and family to call his own in whatever form that takes. I loved the suspenseful storyline and laughed at some of the antics of previous characters as they made their presence known in their own unique way. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story very much and was certainly kept on my toes when it came to the many twists and revelations I really did not see coming.
I thought they were the perfect match. Despite spoiling us with two epilogues, which bring us full circle in more ways than one, I would love another book about them. Theo is a typical and yet not so typical sports hero — cocky and self assured. He whole-heartedly does not ever apologize for his behavior nor his manipulation of others to get Anniston all to himself.
He also makes no attempt to hide his desire of her to others and his willingness to be devious when it comes to her. What is the most unique though is that Anniston is exactly the same. She is just as devious, just as manipulative, and just as possessive of Theo as he is of her. I found their relationship to be completely entertaining and funny. Are there moments of frustration? Especially because they both know how the other feels, but there are extenuating circumstances holding them back.

There is little to no conflict in the book, and yet I was still entertained by their antics, and I knew at the conclusion that I absolutely needed their full novel. I am loving the world Kristy Marie has created. Her writing is a fresh voice in the rom-dramady world, and I am absolutely loving every single thing I read from her.
One rowdy and naked encounter against the lockers with the girl of y. Translation: baseball players are stupidly superstitious and believe the locker room has magical powers.
Blurb: One deep breath. Two slow blinks. Three hollow beats. But everyone has their bad days. This is definitely one of them. Until an adorable little boy dashes into my store. Brance Stone is volatile. Not that I want him to. My misery suddenly craves company.
The suffocating numbness lifts whenever Brance is near. That alone should have me running in the opposite direction. If only I could understand why. A silent, bitter truce settles between us.

That was our first mistake. Words just evade me for this one. Caven and and his lady named removed for spoilery reasons are just broken, flawed, tragic, but what I love most about these books is that there is healing. These two have experienced one of most tragic events possible.

They have been beaten down by it, but they have also shown immense strength in their growth and evolution and quest for happiness. My words truly will not do this story justice. The themes behind this romance are more than just applicable to victims. They are universal and meaningful, and these types of stories are the ones that show the romance can have a voice that screams loud and clear with messages about life not just about love. From the beginning these characters clearly had a lot to work through but a Freudian slip opens up a whole other can of worms and sets in motion a series of events that neither of them could possibly have anticipated.
If you thought the twists and turns and revelations were mind bending in book one, believe me they were just the tip of the iceberg. The plot is intense, so unexpected and unpredictable, I was consumed by it. I gasped so many times, I had to keep making a conscious decision to close my mouth, or risk catching flies! In amongst all the turmoil is actually a beautiful love story. There is a real pull between this couple, a visceral and undeniable connection. I read somewhere that connection is the magic that is born out of souls feeling at home when they are with each other.
For me, this describes these characters to a T. They heal each other with their forgiveness and compassion and their lives are so intertwined, they surely were meant for each other.

I loved every minute of this unforgettable duet. A definite top read of They are the Fallen. A brotherhood of murderers whose nature compels them to kill. But guided by their leader, Gabriel, the Fallen have learned to use their urges to rid the world of those it is better off without. For Raphael, sex and death are intertwined. Where there is one, there must be the other. He is a lust killer, luring his victims with the face of an angel and a body built for sin.
And he knows he must resist. But the temptation is too strong…. Yet Raphael is not the only one with a mission. Maria is not quite what she seems. Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and topics some may find triggering. Recommended for age 18 years and up. Though, you know what they say… curiosity kills the cat. My legs wobbled walking into the restaurant. Some of us do both!
